Jay's field of expertise
My client has some experience at video game blogging in the past and a tiny bit of e journalism but has never worked for a big Videogame site as a columnist or editor. The things that make him a thought leader in the field is the ability to understand good games verses bad games and to be able to understand what makes a good game. The art of making games and taking classes on game design studies have taught my client what to look for in the game design pipeline as a developer to make good games. The practice of playing a variety of games has given him a chance to be understand as a player the practice of finding what good games are. He has tested games before to find bugs and as unpleasant ad the experience was for a couple great games that helped him learn. He is always keeping up with recent game design and video game news and people have begun asking him his thoughts on certain games before buying them.
This information puts my client at a point to where he can pass on information to those who could benefit it the most. The reviewer does not make money on the games but rather passes on his thoughts to an audience who can be swayed by the bigger sites which my client also follows. He wants to avoid giving off a bad impression of what he thinks that other sites do wrong such as over hyping games to get site users’ dreams crushed or giving bad reviews by people who should not be reviewing the game. Those are things that as a thought leader help to influence the sells of the game and also the mindset of the player who reads the game review scores.
Introduction to jays game review blog
Hi welcome to Jay’s game review blog. I hope you found the first review of the blog interesting and had fun reading it. The blog was an idea that I had come up with years ago while I was a part of the 1up community that lead to me getting more support on 1up. The idea though was a part of why I became pickier about my games after playing an unbalanced yugioh years ago. The game’s huge flaw was an auto death game over if you lost the match. As a 13 year old child I thought was horrible design; the reason I thought it was bad design was, because you were given a crap deck with no clue how to use it and sent to die. This game helped impact me to search out how to make games that I felt where good and fun.
This blog is about informing game players of what to buy and what to avoid buying based on my experience playing the game. As a college student I understand that so many games come out while students are in school and it sucks buying an over hyped game to find out it’s really not as great as the review sites say it should be. I feel that bad reviews take away from the player and who made them the team. I plan to give a review based on my play through of the game and what knowledge I have gained over the years to best suggest if the game is worth of the investment in money I want to grade on art, design, sound, and the overall worth that the game has. The game review should help gamers on the fence choice to buy games that fit them and avoid horrible gaming experiences.
